Ancient Figs
A fig tree, ‘Ficus carica,’ possibly originated from North Asia by record of archaeological resources. Spanish missionaries brought to the United States in 1520. Sumerian tablets record the history of the use and consumption of figs in 2500 BC.
In Greek mythology, rice figures prominently as a gift of Demeter and Dionysus, as has received the blessing and sanctity of the Greek gods. Plato noted that Greek athletes at Olympia is a diet of figs to increase speed and strength. Images contain up to 50% sugar concentration, which is almost the same monoblock sports nutrition.
